Sydney Symphony Orchestra, furniture shopping and packages in the mail

I accidentally stumbled (literally) upon a new cocktail bar that's opened up in Chatswood called The Avenue.  The decor is great and service equally as good.  I had the Electric Avenue cocktail jug (shared between 3 people - I'm not an alcho!)

On Saturday we went to pick up some flat-pack furniture hoping and praying that it would but realistically expecting that it wouldn't fit in my tiny Toyota Echo.  Guess what??  I managed to fit 2 wardrobes and a storage in there with room to spare!!  Amazing, I love my car.

On Sunday I went to the Sydney Conservatorium of Music to watch my cousin perform in the Sydney Symphony Orchestra - I found it really therapeutic actually, although I don't think I appreciated it as much as someone who actually knows what instruments are being played for example.

Yesterday I came to work to find the aircon was not working.  Uncomfortable is an understatement.  Productivity yesterday office-wide would've been pretty poor.  I set my office thermostat to 22 degrees but it sat at 25.3 for a while.  Ugh.

In more positive news, my office has finally put up a Christmas tree and it's a real tree.

And in even MORE positive news, I received 6 parcels yesterday and another 3 today.  Some are Christmas presents, some are Kay presents.

If you want to see what's in the parcels hang out for my next post!

  2. how do you carry all the parcels from work home? or you have to try and de-box/package everything beforehand?

    1. I defs de-box first and then carry things home in batches (as much as I can fit into my handbag each day).
