SALE: Forever New, Priceline, Peter Alexander, Forcast, Target, Saba, Pilgrim, Glassons

Oh my gosh Australia has suddenly exploded with a million sales going on...

Forever New has 24% off storewide (including sale items) til 6pm today.  Get on it.  I did - this was the result:

I know there's an unusually high number of black items, especially for me!

If you haven't heard about the Priceline sale, you might be living under a rock with no access to the world wide webs.  It's 40% off ALL cosmetics.  Cr-zazy.  I was restrained.

My HG top coat, Essence peach glitter nail polish for one dollar something, L'Oreal bright pink gloss to replace my current one which is old, and also bought an Australis Glitter polish yesterday

Peter Alexander has 40% off selected items, ends 7pm tonight.

Forcast has an extra 40% off sale items.  Prices as marked.

Von Follies (Dita Von Teese's line) at Target is all at least half price.  I didn't buy anything because frankly I don't need anymore underwear and I rarely never wear nice/fancy lingerie these days - it's all about comfort and cotton for me!!

In the spirit of Anzac Day, Asos has 20% off storewide with the code TWOUP.  Get on that stat.

Harrods is having 10% off storewide this weekend if you are a Harrods Rewards member.  Free to sign up.

30% off storewide at Saba.  Nothing left in my size :(

Pilgrim has a further 30% off sale items ending tonight.

and lastly 20% off storewide at Glassons.  They also have $50 off coats and a sale section like everyone else.

Polka Dot Obsession

I only recently realised how much of a polka dot lover I am.  I fell in love with the Sass & Bide Torn Apart knit (below left) but despite efforts to locate one in an xs, they seem to be sold out on every boutique that stocks them, not to mention Sass & Bide stores nationally and Myer nationally.  It's not to be.  But I did find a reasonable substitute on Asos (below right)

It got me thinking about all the other polka dot clothing I've bought in the past year.  And there's been many.

Supre skirt with a polka dot phone cover thrown in for good measure
Peter Alexander nightie

Cotton On long-sleeved tee

Has anyone else OD-ed on polka dots lately?  Or have you been obsessing about something else?

Crazy busy and I Hate Study

I hate those weeks where you don't get a chance to breathe.  I sat down last night (like I do most Sunday nights) to work out my rough plan for the following week.  It wasn't until I sat down and wrote it down that I realised how much I have to do this week.

Tonight we are going to watch the Cirque du Soleil 3D movie as we bought vouchers ages ago that need to be used by Thursday.  We thought we'd kill 2 birds with 1 stone by having dinner with my family beforehand since we're in the area.

Tomorrow I have no plans apart from studying and running errands like paying bills and posting some stuff I've sold - including my Chanel.  Bye Bye Chanel :(

Wednesday Tom has a gig in Bondi so we're heading there for a night.  Should be good.

Thursday is an ex workmate's farewell.  She's moving to London with her boyfriend so will be super-sad to see her go.

Friday is my cousin's boyfriend's birthday slash housewarming.

Saturday we have to visit Tom's grandparents as his grandpa had a hip replacement at the ripe old age of 92!  He's doing well but we'll drop in for a cuppa and some cake.  Then later that arvo we're going to celebrate my birthday!!  27 isn't anything exciting but any excuse to get my closest friends together will do.  I've got my dress, almost chosen my shoes, and pretty much sorted my jewelry.  Yay for being organised.

Sunday we're going to have dinner with my family to celebrate my birthday.  No idea where we're going yet, I suspect it will be a surprise.

The most annoying thing about this coming week is that my Applied Finance Final Exam is early next week so I really need this week to prepare for it.  I will have to be super diligent and do as much study as I can during the day.  It's hard though because I prefer studying at night because I'm more 'awake' at night than I am during the day, and also Tom's around for me to ask him questions (he's the Finance whizz in my household).  Doing it during the day when I'm an amazing procrastinator is not easy.  Plus, since when was Probability and Statistics so boring!?!??!  Lucky I'm not working as well because I would be up to my eyeballs and probably not sleeping much this week.

Sorry for the lack of pics.  Here are some random pics from my weekend.

This is my friend's ragdoll cat.  She's super adorable

Haven't had a Campos coffee in aaaaages.  It didn't disappoint

My Mum is so proud of her beautiful rose bush.  I definitely did not inherit her green thumb  - give me a backyard of concrete any day!

Peter Alexander sleep shorts for $13!

Peter Alexander undies for $3 each.  They are so much better than Bonds undies :S

Boxing Day sales haul

I didn't actually buy that much during the Boxing Day sales but given I wasn't intending on doing ANY shopping I guess I did shop a bit.

I visited Bourke St Mall, DFO Southbank, Melbourne Central and Chapel St. I'm taking the following with me back to Sydney:

Top left: Marcs 3/4 blazer in hot pink
Tracked down the last size 4 in Melbourne and trekked out to Chapel St to get it.  So glad Marcs does a size 4.  Shame on you Cue for making huge size 6s and no size 4s.
$159 down from $250

Top right: Forever New grey marle tank with fuchsia piping
Again, thanks Forever New for making size 4s.  Clings nicely but not too tight.
$5 down from $20

Bottom left: Peter Alexander bunny jumper
Bought for my animal fanatic sister.  It's made of merino wool which will keep her nice and warm in winter.
$39.98 down from $140

Bottom right: Pilgrim lace skirt
Size 6 as Pilgrim hasn't adopted vanity sizing yet, which is nice to see.  Long enough that I can wear this skirt to work, but fancy enough that I can wear casually.  I love the lace print as it's quite unique, and the way the bottom layer peeks out is really cute.
$50 down from $120

All up I spent $255 when retail for these items was $530 so very happy with myself.

It got unexpectedly cold last night in Melbourne so I had to wear the Marcs blazer when we went out for dinner.  The only footwear options I had were Havaianas or Dunlop Volleys (for Falls) so I wore thongs with a nice blazer haha.

The pink piping on the tank matches the pink blazer really well:

Signing out for now, about to drive down to Lorne.  See you next year everyone!!

Random pics of the week

I've managed to keep myself really busy this week.  Here is my week in pics:

I found 500g cherries at Aldi for $2.99 vs $6.98 at Coles
Visited a friend whose 3-year-old daughter I haven't seen since she was 1, and she now has another daughter who's 5 months old.  The 3 year old drew me the above pic and told me she loved me <3
So I've decided to sell my Chanel and Dior handbags.  I'm selling both because I don't get enough wear out of them to justify keeping them.  Chatting to consignment stores at the moment.
Homemade spinach and poached eggs on Lawsons Settlers Grain bread - salt flakes and cracked pepper
Christmas pressies from friends
I love this necklace!
Nail polish and a high heeled cookie cutter - me in a nutshell
Christmas Party accessories!
Don't you love when you open your wardrobe and find something you bought and totally forgot about?  I  love PA nighties
Started hoe-ing into my Christmas hamper.  Strawberries frozen in  dry ice and dipped in chocolate
