You know you have a shoe obsession when...

oh there are SO many ways I could end that sentence, but today it is:

.... you stalk the internet for FIVE YEARS for a pair of shoes

Yes I am slightly embarassed to admit this.  Back in 2008 I was having an amazing Hawaiian holiday with my sister.  We were shopping (duh, what else do you do in America?) in Neiman Marcus and stumbled upon these amazing Valentino peeptoes.

As a recent graduate at the time, I could not afford them so put them back on the shelf and cried silent tears.  Ever since then I have literally been stalking the US department stores for a pair in my size/on sale.  I also stalked ebay and this pair just WOULD NOT appear in my size.  I had actually given up and stopped looking when I finally found them!!!  (what's that saying - things always comes when you least expect it? or things come to those who wait?)

I could not believe when they arrived in my hot little hands a few weeks later.  I almost cried silent tears again except this time, tears of happiness (yes I'm shallow).

New Blog Section Launched!

I've decided to officially launch a new section of this blog.  I haven't listed any of my items for sale on this blog and mainly sold through ebay, but I've had a number of people ask for my ebay username and also a few people contact me directly to purchase some items.  And given how laborious ebay is, I've decided to give this 'advertising items for sale on my blog' a shot.  Someone on the Vogue Forums did it and said she had a lot better luck selling that way than on ebay.

So if you scroll to the top of my blog you will see 3 tabs:

  1. Home
  2. What's Kay like?
  3. Stuff I have for sale
The third tab is the one you're after.  I've listed stuff with pics and a description and asking price.  I haven't quite finished, still need to get some pics and fix up test, etc so please keep checking back.  I'm happy to negotiate if you are purchasing a number of items.

Thanks for looking!!

My New Years resolution lasted 2 days...

I don't usually make resolutions for each year.  But due to my insane spending at the end of last year I decided to make a resolution not to make impulse purchases and to limit my spending.  Well, this lasted 2 days.  I saw a pair of Peeptoe heels that I'd wanted when they first came out but couldn't find in my size.  They were reduced from $280 to $99, then further to $49, then AGAIN down to $39.  Can't say no to that, although in my defense I deliberated for a good 10 minutes (and probably pissed off the sales assistant).

Also in my defense is this pair of Marcs pants I did NOT buy.

I ummed and ahhed for about a week and have finally decided against it.  I don't need another pair of work pants and I'm still not 100% confident/comfortable wearing coloured bottoms (I haven't even caught onto the coloured jeans phase).

How much navy is too much navy?

My boyfriend did not approve of the navy dress + navy heels this morning, but I wore it regardless because I'm stubborn sometimes all the time.  I've gotten to work and found my Ted Baker belt and Peeptoe Miss Munroes in my desk drawer and they match, so have added another colour to my navy outfit.  Then my red Louboutins arrived in the mail and I thought that would be a great colour combo as well.  What does everyone think?  Navy/navy, navy/cream, or navy/red (don't have pics of the navy dress + red Louboutins as the CLs are at my parents place)?

Had a chicken burger + cider for lunch and will head to The Star tonight for a few beverages.  Also have some big decisions to make around work.  Looking forward to my month off.  TGIF.  Can't wait for 5pm.  Those are all my thoughts in chronological order.
