You know what is super daunting?

Knowing that you are packing all your worldly possessions into TWO suitcases, especially for a materialistic person like me.

Thankfully I've been going through a huge purging exercise recently and have managed to get rid of more than half of my shoe collection, and made many trips to drop off clothes at Vinnies. I have literally bought TWO things in the last 3 months - a pair of work pants because my sister said my current work pants are so worn they look like jeans, and a Bulgari ring because.... well why the hell not.

Does anyone have any packing tips?  What to take, what not to take, how to pack so that I maximise my suitcase space?

  1. By two suitcases I hope you mean shipping containers! Packing tips, vacuum bags. How long are you going for? What will you be doing? Is everything else getting shipped to you later?

    1. Nope I mean two suitcases. Planning to go for 2 years and I'm not planning to ship anything else over. I will have to re-purchase oodles of stuff over there as it's probably cheaper to do that than to try to ship it over.

  2. Make sure that everything you take serves a purpose and goes with other things. It's holiday packing on steroids! If they can serve multiple purposes even better. When I moved to London I had my basics in pretty neutral colours and added colour through accessories-scarves, jewellery etc, so that everything matches, but I could still make it look different. Half the time in London you are bundled up in boots, coat, scarf, hat anyway, so it doesn't matter what is underneath! And London dressing and style is quite different to here anyway-plus SHOPPING!! I didn't realise you've lived in London! How did you find it? Would you recommend the seachange?

  3. Some people role their stuff into little bundles to fit more in? I tend to lay clothes flat and I feel that that does a good job so everything is compressed? Beautiful ring - you deserve it. It is almost as stunning as you are! x

    1. Awww Deb you're so lovely. Yes I've been told about the rolling method too so I might try that as well as flatlay and see which works better :)
