I'm going to South America for 4 weeks in September-October. Never been before so super duper excited. Qantas are currently having a sale so we got airfares for $1600 pp return to Buenos Aires.
My cousin is getting married in Argentina so we will spend the first week there for the wedding and general tourist-y-ness. (My cousin's half Caucasian half Asian and her fiance is Argentinian so they will have amazingly stunning babies!) Then we're planning about a week in Peru (Machu Picchu), a week in Brazil (Rio de Janiero, Amazon Rainforest) and another week in a 3rd country - any advice?? I haven't booked anything yet (apart from international airfares) so am open to advice from anyone!
I've been looking at Tucan Travel, Intrepid and GAP Adventures. Does anyone recommend any other tour companies?
On a shopping-related note, today is the 4th day of Frugal Feb (or "Hermosa's Theory" as it was dubbed on the Vogue Forums) and I am still on the frugal bandwagon! I spent most of the weekend taking pictures of all the stuff I'm about to list on ebay, watermark-ing pictures and writing descriptions. Will hopefully put them all on ebay tonight!
