Make a colour swatch of your chosen wedding colours and keep it in your wallet. She took me to Spotlight and I chose some satin ribbon in our chosen wedding colours and also in the width proportional to our colours. Our main colour is a dark navy, our secondary colour is silver/grey and then our highlight colour is fuchsia.
I actually used this when I was buying bridesmaids dresses and the navy matches perfectly!!!
That is such a great idea. Might past this on to my bestie who is getting married next year :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's such little effort but actually comes in handy!
DeleteCongratz on picking your colours! We have yet to do this as I'm just so indecisive. :P
ReplyDeleteI found it was easier to just make a decision and stick with it. The longer I have to make decisions, the harder it is to make the decision!
DeleteWhat a great idea!! We didn't really have colours until our invites were made, so then I just carried around a spare invite (that got ratty and banged up!)
ReplyDeleteHehe colours are something I'm really particular about so this has come in very handy.
Deletethat is so much better than carrying around loose pieces of material like i did! hope all the wedding planning is going well :)
ReplyDeletereckless abandon
It's going very smoothly. I am being really chillaxed about everything and just ticking random things off the list as I get to it to minimise stress.
DeleteLove this tip !! Thankyou x
ReplyDeleteNot a problem! Have you chosen your colours yet?
DeleteLove your colours!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kacie! I think they're decent winter wedding colours without being overly girly (weddings that are all pasta pink scare me). I will be using the pink ever so scarcely as I understand not everyone appreciates pink to the same degree as I do.
DeleteLove the colours, I cannot wait for your wedding!
ReplyDeleteHehe i can't wait either!!
Deletehah! Why didn't we think of that? Good tip!
